“K STAR ROAD” is a popular street in Korea.
This is the “Olle-gil of the City Hall” where you can walk to the place where there is a Korean Wave story and experience it. Reflecting the latest Korean Wave trends, you can check out stories such as hot stars’ memories of famous attractions and favorite restaurants.
Hallyu Street Symbols
This mark is a symbol of the K-Road project to brand the streets of the Korean Wave in Gangnam and a milestone to show the direction of the K-Road. Check your direction with the beak of a K Bird sitting on a street lamp and follow the new footprints to experience the Gangnam attractions. If you want to make Gangnam more special, pay attention to the ‘K ROAD’ mark attached to the entrance of each story store introduced in this guidebook.
K Star ROAD is a special project of Gangnam-gu for overseas tourists who love Hallyu culture and stars. As the name suggests, the focus is on the keyword “Star,” focusing on the regular shops that Hallyu stars usually visit in Cheongdam-dong, Sinsa-dong, and Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, and the space where they can get a glimpse of their lifestyle, and the agencies that produced the stars.
The section between Dosan Park Intersection and Sinsa Station Intersection is divided into A Zone, B Zone between Dosan Park Intersection and Hakdong Intersection, C Zone between Hakdong Intersection and Cheongdam Intersection, and D Zone between Cheongdam Intersection and the southern end of Yeongdong Bridge. The A zone also includes Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, which leads to the hottest street in Seoul. Among them, the newly introduced K Star ROAD in March 2015 is attracting attention as a representative attraction of Gangnam-gu and Hallyu stars.
